How we know
Each illness has its own symptoms, but common signs of mental illness in adults and adolescents can include the following in the list on the left.
If you experience these symptoms in yourself or a loved one, there may be an underlying mental health issue. Only upon a full psychiatric evaluation can we determine the extent and what treatment might be needed.
Get in TouchBehavioral Health
Mental health is just as important in the day-to-day of our lives, and shouldn't be taken for granted. Mental illness can take many forms, including anxiety disorders or depression, but there are also other types of mental health issues that may affect an individual's ability to function normally -and may even lead to addiction.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
Medications for addiction treatment can be a valuable component in treating addictions to drugs or alcohol. They are not the only solution, but they serve as an important tool when combined with other therapies and treatments.
Alcohol Addiction Medications
Addiction treatment medications like Antabuse work by causing a negative response if an individual consumes alcohol.
Learn moreOpiate Addiction Medications
Addiction treatment medications help decrease the risk of relapse by making it easier for patients to stay sober.
Learn moreDrug Withdrawal And Detoxification
Addiction changes how chemicals work in the brain, and stopping drug use suddenly can cause dangerous withdrawal symptoms
Learn moreWhat Can Medication Treat?
Certain medications can be used to help with addiction treatment as they mimic the effect of certain addictive substances, without the dangerous consequences.
